As far back as I can remember, I loved music and had a respected passion for it. I grew up surrounded by sounds from Stevie Wonder, Lionel Ritchie, Roberta Flack, Earth Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan, The Beegees, The Beatles and much more. I've played piano since I was 7 (which I'm not that good at anymore). I taught myself guitar and have picked up DJing in the past couple years. I've always known that I wanted to express myself through music and for it to be a significant part of my life. There's so much to learn, listen to, and see. Follow me in my quest of new discoveries, rediscoveries, and current interest of my love.

Text 15 Feb New Amerykah Return of the Ankh - BADU AFTER PARTY

I’ve been very excited that Erykah badu is going to be in town to promote her new album: New Amerykah Part II -Return Of The Ankh. An album I have been anticipating for months. She is definitely one of my all time favorite artist. (I think looking back at all my blog post, it’s obvious). The other day, I was asked to DJ her after party. I almost peed my pants with honor and excitement. So this Friday, February 19th, I will be DJing with Mr. E and DJ Rashad Smith (badu’s DJ), at New Parish after her show. This is definitely the biggest gig that I have ever gotten booked for.
