UMAMI

As far back as I can remember, I loved music and had a respected passion for it. I grew up surrounded by sounds from Stevie Wonder, Lionel Ritchie, Roberta Flack, Earth Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan, The Beegees, The Beatles and much more. I've played piano since I was 7 (which I'm not that good at anymore). I taught myself guitar and have picked up DJing in the past couple years. I've always known that I wanted to express myself through music and for it to be a significant part of my life. There's so much to learn, listen to, and see. Follow me in my quest of new discoveries, rediscoveries, and current interest of my love.

This month at Funk My Life I’m proud to bring in sisters from the Peaches Party : DJ That Girl, Similak Chyld, Deeandroid, & Lady Fingaz. Rarely do all 5 of us resident peaches get to rock under one roof. We will be playing the jams that make you feel good, TOGETHER. Our favorite bartender, Masaye Waugh will be hosting and celebrating her birthday.

If we have any leftover regions (vol.2) from the mixtape release on the 5th, we’ll be handing them out. So get your copy. <3
